Monitors for new gaming desktop!

I am looking for either 3 24" monitors or 2 27" ones. undecided at the moment.
I am mostly gaming and watching movies/tv shows. while gaming i would like to do surround gaming. but not a priority at the moment. I have been looking at some of these monitors;

i plan on getting another gpu most likely the gtx 970 and just run 1 gpu for the 2 side monitors and the main one will be on the 970 is this a good idea? or is sli with 2 970s going to work out better.

Not sure if this helps, but I recommend Samsung if you're on a budget.
