PS4 vs gtx 580 vs gtx 970, Sell ps4, keep 580 as dedicated physx card?

I got:

Aurora R3, bought it 2 or 3 years ago :

CPU Type: QuadCore Intel Core i7-2600K, 3900 MHz (39 x 100)

Motherboard name: Alienware Aurora-R3

Moederbord Chipset: Intel Cougar Point P67, Intel Sandy Bridge

RAM: 8173 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM)

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 (1536 MB)

Monitor: Iiyama ProLite 2473HD [24" LCD] (1109413420543)

I wanna invest in it, so I can play games at high/ultra settings (1080) in 2014/2015/2016. I know its gameplay before graphics but when I play a game with good graphics it just make me smile, feel like im in there sometimes even smell the environment! Games like the witcher 3, black desert, maybe star citizen.



The reason I wanna sell the ps4 is, I played ffxiv and when I did a public boss fight (many ppl) the game started to stutter ( The reason why I wanna upgrade my gtx 580 is, I tried cod modern warfare with high settings pc started to stutter mad! I can live without uncharted etc (



Graphics wise will my pc with a gtx 970 be noticeable better than the ps4 or gtx 580? Is it worth to upgrade or wait? Or need I more upgrades on pc? If I buy the 970 should I keep the 580 as dedicated physx card?

GTX 970 will give you a huge boost over GTX 580. But keeping GTX 580 as a dedicated Phys-X GPU depends on your PSU.

I also play ffxiv on PS4 so I know what you are referring to. A 970 will be a huge improvement and will be your best investment, so if selling your PS4 isn't a problem for you, you won't regret it as a 970 will blow your mind (coming from PS4) but on the other hand, if you aren't okay with selling your PS4 and don't want to miss out on the exclusive games coming out, you might want to rethink a bit

Thnx, I bought it, and its mindblowing! Shadow of mordor on ultra cod!! For uncharted, my sister got a ps4 lives almost next to me (same street) her kid is also 1 year, so when good exclusives come I will let her buy it and let the kids play together and we gonna go gaming
