selection the right laptop (apple macbook pro)

i am going to buy a macbook pro.i cant figure out which configuration should i go for.the choices are:
1)
2.8GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
2)
3.0GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM

both are for the same price(CAD 1570) and rest of the configation is also the same.if you have any other better option in this price range .please specify.

I would go with the second option as you won't see any advantage to the extra 8GB of RAM (but you will see the difference out of a better CPU instead) unless you are using it for video editing or similar usage.
