Triple Monitor Setup? Need help picking between Sapphire R9 290 and EVGA GTX 970

Hey guys, so I recently purchased three Dell U2414H's

I'm looking to buy a new graphics card but I cant decide between the R9 290 and the GTX 970. I've done some research and I don't know if this is true but apparently I hear Nvidia's Surround isn't that great and its really buggy which is a concern.

You don't need to use Surround unless you want to combine all the monitors into one single resolution.
Just having 3 monitors is no problem for even integrated graphics though.
Surround and Eyefinity both "take away" the advantage of using multiple monitors to have multiple full size windows open, as they give you a single resolution.

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm planning on using surround or eyefinity for gaming, so I will be needing it
