Hello everyone this will be my first build in over ten years. My very first build was a barebones kit that i barely knew what i was doing. Through a couple of build suggestions i found online i hobbled together these two builds, one uses 2 GPU's and the second a single. I admit I dont know much when it comes to building a system, or whats new, or even what works well with each other. So i have turned to the community here for some advice, any problems you see with either systems, the difference in the 2 GPU setups, and the problems i may run into later with expansion/updating. I also have the concern that 2 HD's would be best in case one dies i can still play without any down time (what happened to my old gaming laptop)

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: This week, once i get some replies and advice

Budget Range: 1200-1450

In the future, save up and get another GTX 970 to go SLI and you'll be fine for years to come without needing other replacements.

did pick other components too like ssd=240gb and motherboard/ram etc. for a blue build.
The cooler has led fans so if not desired pick another one.

You could really go for just one gtx 970 and have money left,
http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/evga-video-card-04gp42972kr%2Czotac-video-card-zt9010110p/
this will play all games well at 1080p.
