Is an i3-3220 processor and 8gb ddr3 1600mhz good enough for a file server and media server?

There will be a maximum of 10 people accessing the server. I will have 6 500gb sata 2 hard drives in a raid 1 configuration so basically 3 sets of 2x 500gb in raid 1, totaling to 1.5TB of space. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Forgot to mention that I will be using Windows server 2012 r2 essentials and I will be accessing the computer remotely through my laptop when I travel out of state frequently.

More than adequate. You probably don't need more than 4GB of RAM unless you're transcoding and perhaps even not then,

I didn't endorse the configuration. Thanks to you I'm going to go with an old athlon 2 64 dual core with 4gb ddr2 ram only.
