Hi!

I am replacing my 60Hz samsung 24" 1080p monitor, with a ASUS ROG Swift.

just ordered a GTX970 and the monitor. (waaaaay too much money, but I keep hearing so many good things about 1440p and gsync.

Anyway, my question is:

Can I use the old 1080p monitor side by side to the 1400p SWIFT for desktop applications?

That would be pretty awesome to use for productivity applications.

Solution
If you're monitor came with a driver disk then I would install it. At worst it won't harm it, at best it'll open up features not available through plug'n'play.

Yes.

I'm currently using a 28" ASUS 4k screen flanked by a pair of 24" BenQ 1080p Screens, the transition is horrible between them as there is such a big difference in resolution and small difference in size but I make it work.

Excellent, I was worried about the card not running different resolutions.

I have one more question: Should I install the drivers on the CD that came with the monitor, or are they useless?
