Task Manager in Win8.1 is the showing 4770k speed at 4.96Ghz -5.0Ghz when the CPU is only overclocked to 4.2Ghz.

Is this correct? Is this Turbo Boost if so? It is stable in prime95 and various other benchmarks, and when running benchmarks the task manager shows 100% in use while the resource monitor says 119% CPU usage and 118-119% Maximum Frequency.

Sounds like false readings. Run core temp and cpu-z to measure it more accurately.

Thanks for your response, I have run cpu-z and it states 4200Mhz (Core Temp says the same) which is where my confusion started. I figured it was probably false readings, it's just off by a considerable margin.
