well i bought this computer about 4 years ago and the only thing ive don't in that time was get a new power supply and and a 465 gtx. lately most newer games have not been running all that great on my pc. i was looking forward to gta 5 and a couple other games but at this point im not sure i can even run them

system specs
windows 7 ultimate
i7 1st gen
gtx 465
msi x58 pro
6 gb ddr3
power supply gs700 700 w
hopefully i got all the necessary info ?

what do you guys think i should do? my biggest fear is buying new hardware and its not compatible with everything else. im far from an computer expert but i was thinking all i needed to do was get a new gpu and maybe more ram and id be good to go

thanks in advance for any and all help. :)

do you have a budget that you are willing to spend? from there a suggestion can be made based on that budgetary number to upgrading parts or getting new core components.

yeah i didn't want to go over 400-500$ id hope that would be enough, but i can if needed. the absolute most im willing to drop on it is 750ish$ and thats probably a bad call on my part with Christmas around the corner.
