Refresh rate and response time

What is more important: monitor refresh rate or monitor refresh time? What is the difference?

Solution
Refresh time is less important, unless you're a pro, you don't need less than 4ms, you won't notice anything up to 10ms. Refresh rate is how many fps your monitor can display.

I have a 1ms monitor and a 144hz refresh rate on it, AND damn its better then 5 ms and 60 hz....
1ms is only good for gaming.
Buy a balanced one.

I game on an 8ms, and I have gamed on a 1ms. Practically no difference. I played a lot of games, pretty much nothing. It was a little smoother in BF4, not by much though, and I play a lot of games. Have you ever gamed on more than 1ms?

Yeah, I used 5 ms, but truthfully BF4 and Titanfall are the only ones that show a difference
