Want Opinions/Advice on Upcoming MSI Build

Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong place, this is my first post on the forum so please inform me of any mistakes.
Just wanted some opinions on this new build i'm thinking about. This would be used for gaming while recording and some photo/video editing.
Also what are your guy's opinions on MSI products? I have heard very mixed opinions about their products, but the Newegg reviews on this motherboard were fairly positive. Does anyone have any experieance with it? I have already purchased the mobo and the case, but they're not here yet. I'm open to suggestions on all other parts though.

Storage: Corsair Force LS 60GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM

Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR

Case: Corsair C70 Military Green

Power Supply: Corsair 760W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

OS: i have heard that this mobo is optimized for windows 8, so i dont know if i want to run windows 7 or 8? i run linux on all of my other systems, so im not sure what to run as far as windows. i figure if i want to run games and photoshop and some video editing software, Windows would be my best bet right?
