Resolution on Philips TV Monitor

I have a Philips 21 inch TV-monitor and it's native resolution seems to be too low for a 21inch monitor: 1360x768. (This is the model ID: 221B1TB/76 )

I've tried upping the resolution but Windows starts hanging/freezing.

I'd like to know if there's a way to increase the resolution without prejudice of the system.

there isnt a way to do that.! lcd monitors have a specific pixel count and have one native resolution. they can only produce lower resolutions through interpolation methods. your only option is having a new monitor!
