Hello everyone! I am looking for a new 144hz main monitor. I dont want to go all out and purchase 2 or 3 of them but would rather use my existing acer monitors.

I currently have two Acer X223Wbd. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009145

I was looking at a Asus VG248QE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G1XA5128&cm_re=ASUS_VG248QE-_-24-236-313-_-Product

Will my existing 16:10 monitors work with a single 16:9?

I was going to place the new 144hz monitor directly in front of me and have the 2 old monitors be right and left. Will this look goofy?

Let me know your thoughts!

Yes they will work, but I am not sure if you can set the refresh rate on them differently. If you plan on gaming across all 3 you may need to have them all at the same resolution. Even though the new one is at 1920 x 1080 it will need to be running at 1680 x 1050 like the other 2 if you use all 3 for a wide gaming setup. For all 3 to be showing different stuff, that won't matter and they can be on different resolutions. Plus the colors and brightness will be off since they are different models and ages.

Did you make sure your video card can run 3 monitors? Many can only do 2.
