Two monitors won't work with my HD7790

I have two VGA monitors and an ASUS HD7790 graphics card. One monitor is plugged into a VGA to DVI-I Dual link adapter, which is plugged into the graphics card. The other monitor is plugged into a VGA to DVI-I single link adapter, then plugged into a DVI-I Dual link to DVI-D adapter, and that DVI-D is plugged into the graphics card.

When testing with a single monitor, both monitors will work in the DVI-I port, but neither monitor works in the DVI-D port or the HDMI port. I tried the adpaters in different configurations but the problem seems to be port specific.

CPU AMD 6300
ROG motherboard
8gb Memory
Windows 7 64-bit

Sorry I don't have all the specs right now, but if you need more information i can update this thread later.

Any help?

You can't just go from dvi-d to dvi-i to vga, you need an active adapter. That's a digital signal til it gets to vga. The pins that have the digital signal do not connect to anything in the vga adapter so it stops there.
