Recently built my own gaming pc but having issues with video card....

OK so i recently purchased my HIS IceQ2 Raedon R9 270x And i believe im having some problems.Whenever i play a intense graphic game such as Metro Last light in the middle of playing it my screen does these weird colors and then the screen goes black then the monitor turns off.I believe its the actual video card itself because the monitor still stays on after a few seconds this happens.I have made sure all connections between the video card and monitor are tight and made sure the video card itself was connect correctly.I have reinstalled the drivers and have made sure everything was connected and installed correctly and securely.I dont know if this is part of the probelms but when i was puting the cpu on i might have left it out a bit long and some of the thermal compound dried up.I was wondering if this could be the problem but whatever it is please contact me back thank you.

It could be a power drain issue. What model PSU are you using?

what drivers are you using?

what psu wattage are you using? model and brand?

also have you overclocked anything?

as you PM'd me.. i checked into your PSU.. it delivers only 38 amps on 12v rail

average psu gives out around 50amps on 12v rail....

get a good quality psu and see if it works..
