So I have to buy a monitor by Sunday 12/14/14 and I need help picking one.

I will be using this primarily for playing games and watching videos online, maybe some light 3d modeling but nothing that needs professional-grade color accuracy. I'll be sitting about a foot, possibly two, away from the monitor. I prefer pixel density over screen size. I'm coming from a 15.6 inch TN laptop screen that I have heard is a poor screen(from a Lenovo y510p).

The monitor:
-needs to be under $200, I would prefer under $175
-needs to have low enough latency for non-competitive gameplay
-needs to be at least 21 inches
-needs to look good

So far I have narrowed it down to five displays in my price range:

I'm not sure if I have included everything I should have so if you need more information just ask.

I also found a VA panel from BenQ, not really familiar with VA panels but I heard that they are pretty good.

VA panels typically have ghosting issues, which is why you don't hear about gamers using them, really ever. It's more of a screen for better colors.

Regarding the monitors, here are some thoughts.
1. You said 5, linked 6.
2. #5 is a refurb.
3. If you're worried about response time, you'll want to look at the 5ms displays, instead of the 7ms. That brings you down to 2 of the displays, both the ASUS.
4. Ask anyone. An extra 2 inches makes a huge difference.

Sorry I should have typed 6, I'm aware #5 is a refurb I put it in there because it fits my price point. If it is down to the two Asus monitors, which will have better quality?

The specs on the Acer seem rather promising and the price is hard to beat. Have you personally compared it to any other IPS monitor? How is it to game on that monitor.

I use one atm for my work pc that has gaming hardware inside, the colors are rich, no ghosting at all and it just has an amazing look because of its almost non existing bezel. i'm honestly swapping out my 2nd and 3rd monitor for this one as well on my work pc, I do a lot of stuff inside vm's as well as some editing that I do for some security conference talks, and multi monitor if you ever plan on doing it will look almost seamless on this thing from photos that I've seen online. This is by far my under $200 ips monitor.

Well its really cheap, so I'll buy it and since I don't trust Acer for anything but low-mid range laptops I'll just buy a warranty for 8 bucks. I'll leave the thread up for a bit to see if I get any other options.
