I recently bought a new computer, but my monitor wont connect to it.
My specs are:
i5 4690k
Gainward gtx 970
Asus b85-pro gamer motherboard
8gb ddr3 ram

The slots i have on my gpu are:
Dvi-i dual link, x3 mini displayport, mini-hdmi

I'm using a DVI-I dual link to connect to my monitor, and a DVI-D adapter since my monitor doesnt have DVI-I.
It's connected through my gpu, but my monitor still says no signal. Also my keyboard has backlights which no longer turn on even though it's conneted to my pc (they turned on the day i got it). The fan and lights on motherboard all turn on, I can open my disc and my headset (gets power from USB) makes a small noise so you know it's connected and useable when i plug it in.

Dont know what to do now. Maybe a minidisplay -> displayport will work (as my monitor has a displayport port), but I dont want to go buy a new cable again if it might be for nothing.

Asus VG248, can change input type. Tried DVI. I also tried taking out my graphics card and the HDMI from the motherboard still didnt work. Probably sending back to manufacturer now, as I spoke to them and thats what they said.
