I have recently acquired a Radeon R7240, for free. I put it in my pc because I thought why not. I eventually plan to get another Radeon R7770 and run crossfire, but that isn't the point of this.
Is it impossible to run 3 monitors off of 2 completely different GPUs? if its not how would I go about doing it?

Solution
I've never done it personally but from what I hear it should be possible. Just install the GPU, plug in the monitors. (2 on the primary graphics card and 1 on the secondary) then select extended desktop in the "screen resolution" window.

Go to the "Eyefinity" options in your Catalyst Control Center. Here's a link showing step-by-step on what to do.

That's for the previous drivers, though. There was a HUGE change in the last few days, where AMD totally give Catalyst a major facelift: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-catalyst-omega-radeon-driver,28155.html

Setting up Eyefinity should be relatively similar, but just a heads up.
