Looking to purchase a gaming monitor(s) to replace my Samsung 40" 6300 series TV I am currently using. I am running a 3.4 i7 2600k, 16GB RAM, and a single 2GB GTX 770 Superclocked GPU. I am looking to get the best monitor(s) I can for around $300ish per monitor, or $600ish for a 27". Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

**Edit* Maybe the OP was a little vague. I would like to get into 1440, but don't want to kill my GPU, so I am unsure if two 1440 monitors would do that or not. I understand that 120Hz+ would require lower graphic settings in games, and that TN's have limited viewing angles. I haven't quite grasped the advantages of an IPS panel. I assume better viewing angles.

Not sure if I made this post better or worse, lol.

I am mostly gaming, the kid watches movies on it. I like having two monitors, but would sacrifice two 24" for one 27" at a higher resolution.

well im running 780 classifieds in 2 way sli on a 144Hz monitor and they are doing all they can to maintain that so i would stick to one monitor if it were me as vram has always been my limiting factor

Thanks for the input. Definitely something to consider. Currently I am looking at a pair of ASUS VG248QE's or a single Acer XB270H(G-Sync) so the single 770 should be okay with either choice, correct? I guess if I wanted 1440 or 4K would have too replace my PSU (700W Cooler Mstr) in order to SLI two 770's. Can I SLI a 2 and a 4GB GPU's?

im running on 1080 monitors at 144 Hz with two 780 classifieds and it struggles to hit 144fps most times i run it at 120Hz just so they will keep up also you will not have enough card to run two screens while gaming I would stick to one and you will likely need sli to run with anything over 60Hz and I think you can run a 2ggb and a 4gb card but you will only have 2 gb of vram total they mirror each other they don't add together also I may be wrong about it even working but in any case it would be a waste of money to buy the 4gb card if you have a 2gb card now If it were me in your shoes by the single monitor and see where your at then you may want to upgrade your card and get another monitor or go sli but again multi monitors while gaming need lots of vram 4gb is not enough to run 5760x1080 which is why I dont use all three for gaming...good luck and hope you get a good combo
