Looking for best monitor for mix of professional photo editing and gaming.

Hey all, I need a new monitor. Something capable of producing extreme color accuracy as well as high performance and beautiful visuals in games (mainly World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, Grand Theft Auto etc.

I'm looking to spend a maximum of around $700. Any suggestions?

Hi Matthew.

If you're looking to have a single monitor, $700 sounds hella good for a budget - you could go many different ways with that. For value and gaming quality, I'd recommend https://www.cdw.com/shop/products/ASUS-PB287Q-LED-monitor-28in/3369357.aspx?expand=URV#URV . We have one at work and it's insanely beautiful. You will also be set for future rigs for quite some time with this monitor, supporting 4k. Essentially top of the line material. The only complaint I could muster about it is the fact that it has built in speakers. This is just a waste in today's day and age.

The other recommendation I would make (if you don't already do this) is to purchase multiple monitors instead. Something like this would work extraordinarily well - https://www.cdw.com/shop/products/Asus-VK278Q-27in-Wide-LED/2225266.aspx to run 2 or 3 simultaneously.

I run a 2 monitor set up, used to run 3 but found it a little bit much. When I raid I have my music/mumble/Ventrilo/strats on one monitor to reference from and the fun on the other.
