Triple 1080p OR 4K Monitor setup?

I am upgrading my monitors and graphics card in the next couple of weeks. I have already decided that the GPU I want to get is a GTX 970 leaving me with about £350-£400 to spend on the monitors. The problem is I can't decide whether to get three 1920x1080p monitors or a single 4K monitor. I like the idea of having a clean single monitor look but on the other hand I've always wanted a triple monitor setup. The bezels however put me off. What would you recommend? Also, are there any 1080p monitors that you know of that have a thin bezel and are ideal for gaming?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any experience with triple monitor gaming but I would personally advice you against 4k at this point in time. A single 970 is enough to have playable frame rates but at the expense of quality (which defeats the point IMO). If you want a large beautiful screen I would look into a 1440p IPS screen, or the one I have actually been eye balling the 21:9 34" LG monitor http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-34UM65-34-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00JR6GBHO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418932774&sr=8-1&keywords=34UM65-P&pebp=1418932776075

It's not as difficult to run as 4k but gives you a wide experience without the bezels of triple monitor. I personally use a 27" 1440p monitor and since most 4k monitors are 27" I just don't see the benefit over 1440p right now.

EDIT -- I linked the wrong monitor here is the correct one http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-34UM95

Ok thanks for the advice. Triple monitors seems to be the best to get. As I said above, I have £350-£400 to spend on the monitors. So that equates to about £120-£135 per monitor. What would you recommend for this price?

If you're looking for a cheaper thin bezeled monitor - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160167. With your mentioned budget, you could get two of the AOC and then a separate primary monitor in the middle for your true gaming.

Personally I like having a triple monitor set up, I can game on my main monitor while having other information accessible with ease.

Looking at the reviews on that it looks like the screen doesn't actually extend to the edge. The picture is misleading and there is about a half inch where the screen doesn't extend. That would make about a 1" blank space between monitors.

Yes I have already looked at this monitor and I have read some pretty poor reviews not to forget the thickness of the bezel. It's still a possibility though.

Unfortunately, the monitor isn't available in the UK. Thanks for the suggestion about have a primary monitor separate two others. I haven't thought about this yet, but I'd prefer it if all three monitors would be the same size and model.
