I have an Asus Radeon 7770 and an XFX R7, I am trying to run 5 screens and they are all working fine, but...Only 2 of the 3 27" plugged into the 7770 will sustain 2650x1440 res, one must be downgraded to 1920x1080. The other 2 smaller monitors on the R7 are fine at their max res of 1920x1080 & 1600x900. I have the center 27" connected via Display-port and the other 2 27s via DVI-D. I have tried to mix and match with hdmi but that only makes thing more unstable. I have also tried running one of the 27s off the R7 and that does not seem to help either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Z

Solution
Msi afterburner shows vram usage. As long as you're using dp or dual link dvi than it should be fine for 1440p. It's not about gpu power, we've established that from gpu usage.

XFX R7 250E

I have a Gigabyte MB that has built in crossfire ability, but the system did NOT like it when I selected the option to crossfire them...
I thought the issue there was likely that they were not the identical GPU...

Not for gaming. Could Silverlight be an issue? The screens displaying different silverlight content from the same program make the mouse a little slow and jumpy...

I would like to run 3x 2650x1440 across the 3 27in screens and the other 2 are kind of on their own... so I guess that is a 7950x1440 array and then a 1600x900 stacked on a 1920x1080.

Also if it helps I am running an i-7-3770k @ 3.9G and 16GB ram with a TR2 600W PS.

4k is 3840 x 2160 = 8.3Mpixels

You've got 3 x 2650 x 1440 = 11.5Mp

plus 1600 x 900 = 1.5Mp

plus 1920 x 1080 = 2.0MP

Which equals 23Mp = 2.7 x 4K monitors.

This is what you need to run just one 4k monitor - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-295x2-crossfire-performance,3808-4.html

So I think you're pushing your luck.

Secondly per http://www.game-debate.com/news/?news=10732 - R7 250 will not run crossfire with anything other than another R7 250.

So what you're trying to do seems bound to fail.

Usage on GPUs CPUs and ram is very low, barely scratching the surface it seems, only 1/4-1/3 of system MAX... no clue about the vram...?

I use charting software based on silver light and another based on java simultaneously, as well as multiple chrome windows and a 3rd java program. I have also been playing with rainmeter skins and MSIafterburner to monitor everything while trying to iron out the kinks.
