She's planning to build a PC used for games like DayZ, ArmA 2, perhaps GTA V when it comes out and the like.

This is what I, with the help of Google, could come up with:

you are correct about the h/z97 but since it was in the budget i added it for future proofing. down the line an i7 upgrade may happen when the prices fall. or a simple move to the 4690k down the road. since i do not know the future i try to plan it into the build "just in case" i dropped the price $30 and added the z board so why not just to be safe?

Budget isn't too much of a problem - I edited the part list according to these replies. How's this look now?

Sorry - I didn't realize that H chip didn;t support SLI/Crossfire - my bad.
Also, if you can fit it in, get the GTX 970 - it uses less power, is newer and performs better. It also is NVIDIA, so if you want to add another card you won;t need to deal with all of the problems AMD cards have with Crossfire

Not $100 - more like $70 - worth the money in my opinion

I feel like the 970 would be overkill - while we've got the money for it, it just wouldn't be too good of a use.

Thanks for all your help, guys!
