Whenever I play any games with steam, my monitor turns off, going into a power saving mode. The only way I've found to turn the monitor back on is by doing a manual reboot. I have my power settings set to "high performance", and have my monitor set to never turn off because of time, with my computer also set to never go to sleep. I've made sure that my resolutions are all set correctly and optimally. It doesn't matter which game I play for this to happen, but it only ever happens when I am playing a game through steam. The display usually does this after 5-15 minutes of playing. Many times it doesn't take this long. My specs:

I'm not sure what specs are needed so this is some general stuff plus all the display info. Let me know if anything else is needed, thank you.

Solution
It could be a bad cable, or an outdated driver. I don't know whether you have the latest nvidia drivers as I don't currently use a nvidia graphics card but I can tell you that if your drivers are out of date, that could very well be causing the problem.
