Win 7 Pro Edition 64-bit

Let me know what you guys think, never really built a PC before so this is something a friend helped me come up with.

Looks good. Though I would probably go with the 4790k as it isnt much more and it will increase the useful life of your cpu through overclocking. Also, unless you are getting windows 7 for much cheaper than you can get 8, get 8. The initial issues are taken care of and it offers better performance.

Edit: If you overclock, make sure to get an aftermarket cooler, like the hyper 212 or better.

Looks solid, would personally go with a modular PSU as it both helps airflow through your build and makes it look nicer. And think for the future if you are planning to grow your build I would choose a PSU with more wattage to save buying twice. I agree with jerryvaberry on the processor but as the operating system i would say choose the one your most comfortable with I use both but my rig is built on Windows 7 as I prefer it as an OS over eight.
Also pay attention to how many fans you are going to have and how many your mobo can handle you may need a fan controller.
