Upgrading Lenovo Ideapad Y580 Memory & SSD/mSata

I want to upgrade my laptop's (Lenovo Ideapad Y580) memory from 8GB (2 x 4GB) to 16GB (2 x 8GB). I'm a bit confused on which memory to choose.

Mostly I use my laptop for Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D and rarely gaming (i.e. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Dirt 3).

I would like you guys to suggest me best value for money memory modules suitable for my laptop.

I also want to upgrade to an SSD or mSata. Please let me know which one should I go for mSata or an SSD. Also please provide me some links on which one of SSD/mSata should I go for. I want to have 750GB+ drive.

I would love to see some Performance & Budget options for both.
