Could I see a loss in perfomance?

I just put together my computer and am just wondering, if I had damaged my computer during the build process would it be possible to see a drop in performance?

depending on the kind and extent of damage yes but most likely unless you are overclocking you will not see any noticeable drop in preformance ... that is of course unless you totally destoryed a component to which it wouldnt work anyways.
