Asus Swift Rog monitor question

can someone help me I just got the ASUS swift rog and for some reason i can't get a signal using a DP to HDMI adapter please help!!

if your gpu doest have a dp / mini dp input bettter get a dp to dvi d active adapter, if you want to run 1440p 144hz.! you cannot do higher than 60hz at such resolution with hdmi anyway!

I also want to this monitor with my PS4 that is why im using the adapter not i can not get a signal once i plug it to the ps4

ps4 doesnt provide dp support so you need an active dp to hdmi adapter to run that monitor. also you will be limited to 1080p / 60hz as ps4 doesnt support 1440p / 144hz . seriously such monitor is a waste for console gaming. only to be paired with high end gaming pc's!

What do you mean by "active dp to hdmi adapter"????

ps4 doesnt provide dp support so you need an active dp to hdmi adapter to run that monitor. also you will be limited to 1080p / 60hz as ps4 doesnt support 1440p / 144hz . seriously such monitor is a waste for console gaming. only to be paired with high end gaming pc's!

a passive adapter just passes through signal. in your situation signal type conversion is needed since ps4 doesnt provide native dp support. the one you are looking will suffice. you will need an hdmi cable though

thanks for all your help!.. another question if you don't mind, I see on the description for the active dp to hdmi adapter the max res is 1920/1200 would that affect the out put of the Swit Rog and does these converters add lag??

yes, you will be limited in the resolution. not only from the adapter but the console itself with is limited to 1080p. as for any lag presence i wouldnt now since i havent encountered such case before. as i already said your monitor far exceeds console capabilites!
