Far Cry 4 Hurk Mission Crash

Hi All,

I tried to look for this but cannot find anyone with a similar issue anywhere, so, on my first mission with Hurk, where you go around a sign and then you have to run to meet this trading guy so he can take you to Himalayas, as soon as I speak to this dude the game crashes.. not a clue why, I tried to switch off SLI, same thing.
I'm running this on 2x GTX 670, windows 8.1 - the game and drivers are up to date...

Does anyone had a similiar issue and fixed it ??? Please let me know as it's driving me nuts!!!

LOL, that would be Hurk, not Hank.

Have you verified what patch version you're on shown in the lower left of the intro screen?

What control device are you using btw?

HAHA, yeah my bad... (updated the post now...) =)
1.6 but it was happening before the update too...
I'm using mouse and keyboard, but got xbox controller connected to the PC..

Reason I asked about what controller is some are still getting a black screen bug with gamepads.

Have you tried unplugging the gamepad?

tried just now, didn't resolve the issue...
I know the game is bugged and all, but the fact that no one else seems to have this issue really pisses me off... ;]

ok so I pretty much given up here, but now the game crashes on the "Kill or be killed" mission (when I enter the caves)... even with the graphics turned to low ...
And to think I paid for this game ... ;]
