hi i am building my own pc with an asus m5a97 r2.0 evo motherboard. i was trying to install my motherboard into the case so i put in the I/O shield and lined up the board with the standoffs in the case and the motherboards ports (usb, firewire, esata ps/2, audio and ethernet) didnt line up with the holes in the I/O shield. I have done my research and found that a few other people have had the same error with both the same and different boards from asus. The case i am using is a Zalman Z9 plus. the motherboard fits the case and the I/O shield fits to but the I/O does not line up with the motherboard. Did asus make a line of defective I/O shields for this line of motherboards? and the I/O shield has bendable teeth like metal strips of the motherboard side.

this is what the I/O shield looks like.
Is there anything i can do to make the motherboard line up with the I/O shield??
Thanks
