3 monitors on an AMD Radeon R9 270x

I have 3 monitors going into my PC, one HDMI, one DVI, and a VGA-DVI going into the second DVI place. When I use the computer, only 2 monitors work, but all three are plugged in, and the moment I unplug one monitor the third one that isnt displaying anything instantly displays, so I'm not really sure what exactly is happening. Any help would be appreciated, more information at request

since a 270x a rebranded 7870 watch this.you need a specific cable/monitor config to do 3 or more.
