Audio through TV as second monitor

I have two screens plugged into my PC: A monitor via VGA, and a TV via HDMI.

Is it possible to set up the audio so that anything playing on the TV comes through the TV speakers, and anything playing on the main monitor comes through the computer speakers? (i.e. is it possible to set up two audio devices to coincide with the two display devices?) Or can audio only be set up to come through one device at a time?

There are players, like VLC that allow you to set the output device for Audio. Open a movie with WMP and music with VLC. Set in VLC the Speakers. See if working.
