I'm sure this has already been discussed, but it would be nice to see who's reading a thread we're looking at. It's already so frustrating having to wait for answers from members who take ages to reply! At least, we'd sometimes know if the original poster is there. Most forums I've been to, do it, and also display who's online in all categories. You can even follow the member through the forum and see exactly what he's reading. Of course, those forums include an option to stay anonymous, which could be applied here as well.

I'd appreciate this feature as well.
It's a nice addon!

most forums have them at the bottom below any content so they are out of the way and do not interfere with the site.
The other forums also have colored names to determine rank/age/badges/etc

I think this has been discussed previously, but it's a massive extra load on the servers (especially for a forum this size) and doesn't add all that much.

Coloured names to denote rank has been asked for, too.
