Not getting the best quality on the monitor

Hey guys,

Just built a new computer and I am having trouble with the monitor. It is displaying a "grainy" look to it. I installed the drivers for the motherboard, monitor, and GPU. The resolution is 1920x1080

Monitor: Dell S2240M
GPU: Radeon R9 280

A friend told me to use the AMD Catalyst Control Center. I found nothing that can help me.

make sure you are set to 16.7million colors too.

Would that be equivalent to bits? If so it is set to 32-bit
