It's an LG Flatron e2242, using this ad a second monitor for my new custom built pc running on Windows 8.1
Whenefer I turn on the computer it shows the windows 8 start up animation (blue window and white spinny dotted circle below it) for a second before saying "D-SUB power saving mode" and going black again
When I go into device manager > monitors it shows two "Monitor", and when I go to control panel > adjust screen resolution, it also shows the second monitor, (it gives option to change its display and multiple displays but not it's resolution, orientation, advanced settings or to make it the main display)
Monitor side connected via D-SUB, computer side is connected from a D-SUB cable to this pink translucent converter.
Any suggestions?
