Hi. My NAS drive transfer speeds are super-slow: about 1.8MB/s max. My setup is:
NAS:
D-Link DNS-320 (2 drives mirrored via RAID) Full specs: http://sharecenter.dlink.com/products/DNS-320
800 MHz cpu // 128MB RAM // 1 x 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet
Modem/Router:
AT&T U-Verse 3801hgv Full specs [PDF]: http://www.2wire.com/pages/pdfs/3801.pdf
-- Ethernet WAN; VDSL2; 4 Ethernet LAN Ports
-- 802.11b/g Wireless
-- Ethernet 10/100 with auto-crossover (4-port RJ-45)
Wireless adapter:
I have multiple devices, including the older 10/100 and the newer 10/100/1000 Ethernet
Does anyone know why transfers might be so slow? I'm thinking it's the D-Link or the Modem/Router, as it's the same speed (1.8MB/s) on a brand new laptop.
Help much appreciated,
Tom
