I am planning on getting two Dell U2415 monitors but need advice on a graphics card that can run them. Each monitor has a display port (in/out) and 2 HDMI ports.

The most optimal way looks to be via display port daisy chaining but as I am running Linux - I think for now it would be better if I can run independent cables to the graphics card.

I will be using them for programming and watching movies - there is no gaming requirement.

If all you need is dual monitor support, then i recommend the SAPPHIRE 100369LP Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 Low Profile w/ Boost Video Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202091 as it is know to work with Linux, and it is content with running two monitors, just don't game, which it sounds like you won't. it is cheap, and sapphire has great support should something go wrong.
Hope that is of use.
