Hey guys!

At the moment I´m playing on a Dell U2412M, but now I´m thinking of buying a new one.
Mostly i play MMO´s like TESO (~80% of the game time, playing in the upper league), RPGs like Dragon Age, but also games like Tomb Rider or Assassin´s Creed. No FPS-Games like CS:GO or something.

A few weeks ago i tested the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q, but sent it back cause many problems.
I´m not rly thinking of buying the same monitor again..

Anyway, i didn´t saw a real difference between 144hz and 60hz while playing Teso, maybe cause I´m running ~40-50 FPS only in large battles. (Playing PvP only!)

Should i wait for new G-Sync monitors, maybe hope for Free-Sync support by Nvidia or should i buy now?
These 21:9 Monitors seems amazing btw, but i can´t see any news on a G-Sync one..

LG 34UM95-P
Dell UltraSharp U3415W
Samsung S34E790C

So waiting for a good 21:9 144hz, while running ~40-50 FPS in my favorite game or buying now?
What would you suggest?

Budget: ~1500€ (for something i got a few years, I´m willing to pay that much.)
Specs: i7 3770k@4,3GHZ - 4096MB MSI GTX 980

Thanks! :)

Soulac

Oh okey, didnt understand at first time :p ! Now i got it !

Definitely new 21:9 60hz IPS in that case! Like i said difference can be seen with 144hz only with 100+ fps :)

You wont see differnce between 60hz and 144hz with that fps!

You will see the difference when fps is stable at over 100FPS, and then the difference is HUGE in my opinion ( got 60hz and 144hz )

Keep 60hz until you get more powerful parts!

After that get the ASUS VG248QE You will love it!!!

I will never get 100 FPS in large Fights, not even with a much better CPU.
In Raids i get around 80-90 FPS, but 95% of the time I running in large battles and my CPU is capped, the GPU is kinda bored. (Running same FPS in 2715x1697 DSR.)

So should i stick with my actual monitor or is it worth going for a 21:9 Monitor?
Would i even notice a huge difference by coming from a 16:10 Monitor?

Or would u suggest to wait? Or should i go for something else?

(Running same FPS in 2715x1697 DSR.) ( I suppose 80-90 fps ? )

With 16:9 144hz 1920x1080 im sure you get over 100FPS and then the 144hz is worth !!!

I think you didn´t understand me :p
My game is CPU capped, it doesn´t matter what i change at my graphics, its 80-90 FPS. But 80-90 FPS in a PvE Area, not in PvP.
In PvP i got ~40-50 FPS no matter what I change. Even with the lowest possible resolution -> 40-50 FPS.
2714x1697 DSR -> 40-50 FPS

And 95% of my gametime i play PvP, not PvE..

144hz TN or a new 21:9 60hz IPS?
Or should i wait for the LG 21:9 75hz with Free Sync and hope for Nvidia support?

N1KII , lets say i have a 144hz monitor and in BF4 my PC can noly pull of 60-70 FPS , so 60FPS on 60hz monitor is it the same as 60FPS on 144hz monitor ? in my experience, when i was getting 60 FPS it felt like 30 FPS, and i dont know why.. it was eally stuttering, some people told me because you got used to 144hz, but i can definitely tell that i have sued 60hz before and 60FPS on my 144hz monitor si not the same it's worse, but it should be the same or worse as i am experiencing ?

Set the hz to 60, it will look better ! You need 100+ FPS to enjoy 144hz or 120hz :)
