Ok, i recently put together an older pc with spare parts.

Mobo: Asrock 880GM-LE w/ Athlon x2 250 AM3 @ 3.0Ghz
4Gb Kingston HyperX memory
430W Antec earthwatts PSU
GPU: HD 6570
Old IDE 320Gb WB Blue HDD.

Trouble is in the bios, Its weird.. If for example I change the memory to run at 1600Mhz (its rated 1833Mhz) Just an example anyways.
I'll boot, verify the change in CPU-Z..

Now, I'll change the bus from 200 to whatever, for an overclock.. lets say change it to 199Mhz just for the sake of the example..save changes

Boot into windows, still only the memory is 1600Mhz, the bus is still default at 200Mhz.

It appears I can make only ONE change.. not even one change at a time, just one change, Period.

I can reset it to default settings and change the bus to 225, no problems, boots into windows
Problem is I CANT change the multiplier for HT Link and NB Frequency.
If i even try, it wont post, gotta jump the clear CMOS settings.

Ive changed the battery, checked my bios version, was 1.70 (latest) so i downgraded to 1.60, still no fix.

Google hasnt helped.. could the bios chip itself be bad? Im not 100% certain, but i think thats where the changes are stored/applied.
The changes will stay in the BIOS, they just wont be applied at Start Up.

thanks
