Hi Everyone. I've been researching monitors and trying to figure out which is best for me. I don't know a lot about the different types of display (TN, LCD/LED, IPS) and that's what is making this decision hard for me.

I'm not what you would call an extreme pc gamer. I'm more like a casual/play alone, sometimes multiplayer PC Gamer. Honestly this is my first build as I've decided that Consoles are just not working for me anymore (Go PC Master Race! :p)

I'm upgrading from a Sceptre X24WG 24" Monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824112011

...I'll be running my PC with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 GPU and a i7 4790k CPU. My MOBO is the Maximus Hero VII and I'm going with 16GB RAM. Not sure if any of that matters.

I'm OK with only running at 1080p resolution on the monitor for right now. I just want to make sure that I'm getting a monitor that has no glare and minimal Ghosting/motion blur. I just want a crisp clean picture that really shows the Full HD Potential that I know my system will be able to put out.

Right now I'm looking at two monitors that I'd really like...I can't decide between the two of them.

The first one is the ASUS MX279H http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236309

The reason I'm considering this one is because I hear IPS monitors are really nice and also it's a 27" monitor...so a size upgrade from the 24" Sceptre I'm using now.

The second monitor is the ASUS VG248QE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-313-_-Product

The reason I'm considering this is for the response time and I hear that TN panels are better for gaming. Only thing that draws me from this is that it is a 24" Monitor and the bezel is bigger then the other monitor.

I am considering getting 2 more monitors in the future...probably next year, so I'm undecided if I should get the first monitor for that reason or if the smaller monitor is actually better then the extra 3" I'd be getting with the second monitor....blahhh...

Will I notice a difference in visual performance between these monitors? Which one do you feel I should go forth with or do you have other options for me to consider. If so..please keep in mind that I am planning to go multiple monitors and that screen glare is a big no no for me. Also keep in mind that I DO NOT want to spend more then $300. I'd honestly like to stay under $275 if possible.

Sorry for the long text ...I just want others opinions of what I should do before I go spending money on something that may turn out to be exactly what I didn't want. Any and all comments, suggestions are welcome and thanks for taking the time to look this over and help me out.

Go for the ASUS VG248QE, your gonna love it ! 144 hz candy for your eyes.

Ive bought it last month, i had 60h Asus which looked nice ( ASUS VE247H ). But after using VG248QE there IS NOT going back to 60HZ.

And the price is reasonable.
