Hey, I'm wondering if its possible to do such thing, here it is :
I have one monitor and I want 2 desktops, one that I'm using and another one for a friend who connects to me with teamview. Can he control only one desktop and I control the other, or the 2 mouse/keyboard inputs conflict each other just like on a single desktop ? I'm using win7 x64 with an AMD R9 280x 1080p monitor. We use teamviewer but we can change that if needed. Thanks for reading.

Your solution is remote desktop connection (start>run>mstsc to launch RDP), you will need to enable it (google), you will need to have 2 users and use this (http://www.vladan.fr/multiple-rdp-sessions-on-windows/) method to enable multiple sessions on your PC, so you could work directly and friend connects to different session, he will have own profile with docs, desktop and stuff.. OF course it will not be possible for him to play games but other stuff will work.

Also you will need to give your friend your IP, forward RDP port on your router and allow RDP in firewall.

thanks for the answers, well I tried the RDP, used the dll but its not really working, my friend cant connect to me, unless I send him an invitation but then its just like a normal teamview session. Do I need to have 2 desktops somehow? I have only one monitor and dont know how to make 2 desktops on windows.

Just had a chat with a colleague and he told me that he has something called "Maxivista".

AERO must be turned off because win7 cannot handle it!

install 1 good PC with software, one old PC with some software and I don't know if the Maxivista needs to be installed on 1 or both.

here is the link: http://www.maxivista.com/

Cheers, Louise.
