Recently my 560Ti decided to give up, its about time for an upgrade anyway.
Current specs are;
Case - Corsair Carbide 500R
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212 EVO
RAM - Corsair Vengance LP (2x4GB)
PSU - Corsair CX500

I'd like to keep as much as my old PC as possible as cost is an issue. Current thoughts are upgrading the CPU to an FX-6350 and installing a GTX 770 or an R9 280X. (Doing so would also mean buying a new PSU)

An AMD CPU would be easier/cheaper, although any CPU/GPU recommendations would be appreciated but as stated, lower cost would be preferable due to a limited budget.
Thanks to everyone reading.

Edit: Decided to go with an EVGA 960 and upgrade the CPU at a later date.
Edit 2: Decided to go for the FX-8350 over the FX-8320 as it's only £1.35 more on Amazon right now.

My account kept logging out bizarrely.

But you should get the gtx 960. And with the money saved buying the cheaper and better gtx 960 rather than the gtx 770. You could choose between the fx 8320e (less power hungry) or the fx 8350

Alright, I'll keep that in mind

Personally I'd stay a bit lower price wise, get the FX-8320 and try the R9 280X. The 280X is similar in performance to the GTX 960 and is still about £50 cheaper.

Sometimes "shiny new thing" fever can be a bad thing, I've found the 960 quite disappointing seeing benchmarks vs similar AMD counterparts.

No problems lol, R9 280X was (and still is) my second choice. Only problem is the higher TDP and power usage from what I've seen.
Thanks for the reply
