Hello, I have a problem with Windows 8.1. I have just recently installed 8.1 onto my main computer. It works great except for a problem in the RAM memory. I have 16GB. It seems to run the ram up to 80% (over about 5 hours of it being on) then the screen goes blank and it goes back down to 20%. I opened the resource monitor when the ram was at 80% and it has about 10GB of modified RAM, then when the screen goes black the modified ram goes back to 32MB.

Not sure what is going on. So I would like if someone would help.

did you remove the page file because of the amount of ram you have and the ssd? Maybe put it back but locate it on the hdd if you don't want it on the ssd.
Other suggestions are given too, like maybe an app that creates the problem so maybe shutting all non windows apps down and restart one and after that watch if it gives the troubles, continue with each app.

Yes I have a page file on my HDD, not on my SSD. It was taking up too much of my SSD. Though it has not seemed to do it today.
