Is The Asus GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU II OC Strix Compatible with the gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard

hi

i wa thinking about buying myself a new GFX card and was thinking about the new GTX 970 from ASUS but is worried about compatibility.. does anyone know if it will work with my current board?

i have had a similar problem with a new card and motherboard in the past thats why i ask!

i have problem when Gigabyte H61MA-D2V REV2.0 freeze when install Asus StriX GTX 970 OC 3.5GB/4GB, lucky got latest beta bios the GTX970 can detect well. But always crash when playing GTA5 (using latest graphics driver)
