2 monitors on 2 separate cards (R9 290X and intergrated HD 4600)

HI, the problem is one of my monitors is VGA only so it won't work with my new 290X. I don't want to buy any adapters etc. cause I'm gonna change that old monitor soon anyway.
However until i find a new one i like, i thought maybe i can use the old one with the integrated card.
But how would it work? Is there some nice way to set this up? Is it the same as with 2 monitors on 1 GPU?
I'd only need the old monitor for web browsing etc. and the good one would be for gaming. Is it possible to pull it off?

You shoulf read it up in your motherboard manUal. I have a cheap asrock b75m and it is supported i think.
