Hi Everyone,

I recently got obtained two Dual Korean 1440p DVI-D Monitors.
"YAMAKASI Q270 "2B Extreme OC" IPS 2560x1440 120Hz PC Monitor" to be specific.

I'm do not have a video card that can currently support these monitors.

I'm looking to buy a video card:

I'm wondering if I can buy a single GTX980 and have a working dual monitor setup with the good stuff like the 120hz.
Heres what the bottom "might" look like:

Or am I forced to get two videoscard, (maybe GTX970) and put them into a SLI formation to obtain the dual monitors.

Please let me know :)

Thanks!!!

The number of monitors you plan on using does not dictate how many graphics cards you need. If you were gaming on 1 screen and using the 2nd one for other tasks, I would recommend the single 980. However, you are also gaming at 1440p, which the 980 won't be enough for at times, so you should probably get the sli 970s, especially if you plan on gaming on both screens at the same time. The 980 also definitely won't deliver 120fps at 1440p, so you should get the sli 970s anyway, even if you did plan on playing with just 1 monitor.
