Do I have to wipe my current hard drive if I'm building a new computer

im building my second Gaming PC and I was wondering wether I have to wipe my current hard drive before I put it in my new build also would I need to buy the operating system again seeing as it is all new components except RAM and hard drive

You don't have to wipe the hard drive, though you might want to, but you definitely have to reinstall Windows. Whether you have to buy Windows again depends on the type of license on your current Windows and/or your ethics and morals.

I'm building a pc and nothing would display on the screen. Would it be because of the hard drive as it is an old one with windows already installed?
