I am planning to upgrade my pc:
Current specs:
i3 540 @ 3.06 GHz
r7 250 1 gb gddr5
4GB kingston 1333mhz
some intel motherboard (LGA 1556)

To upgrade my ram i will have to change my mobo cause it has only 2 slots, each with a stick of 2 in it.
While i am upgrading my motherboard, why not upgrade my cpu as well?
So i chose a good msi mobo with AM3+ socket type and decided to use an fx-6300.
recently i had a thought about buying the A10-7850 APU which uses an R7 250 as well. That would double my gpu power and (hopefully) increase fps in games like ACU and Crysis 3, which i have been barely able to play.
So, should I get the APU or should i get the fx 6300 and another gpu? Which gpu should i get?
thank you

Also, would the APU + r7 250 beat a gtx 750ti in performance?

The FX6300 is definitely more powerful. So is the 750ti - it beats any dual-graphics combo (i.e. APU and a compatible GPU). Don't know what your budget is or what the prices where you live are, but I would look around and try to get my hands on a r9 270x - their prices have drasticly dropped. With a combination of FX6300 and a 270x can play almost anything on 1080p/60fps mid to high depending on the game. Give us a budget and we'll probably be able to help you more.
