Build a new gaming rig or just upgrade GPU on my current system?

I was thinking about building a whole new setup based around a 4690k and gtx 970. Or should I just keep what I have now and get a gtx 980. Right now I have a 3570k with no OC and a gtx 670. Would the difference between the cpu's even be noticeable?

I would definitely just save your money and buy a 980. Why not overclock your 3570. It would be more than capable on the right board. Doubt you would see that much difference in gaming.
