Is there like a device that has a VGA port and you can control what goes through the monitor?

I noticed in the media room at our concert I work at, We use macs to connect to projectors and send any video, picture, lyrics, etc to the projector, I am wondering, Is there a device that can do something like that for windows?

You want a VGA switch or more preferably and HDMI switch to change between outputs.
